Ken's keitai (Blog)
Ken’s Keitai – and blog!
It’s cool having a name that sounds pretty good when placed alongside the Japanese word for mobile phone – ‘keitai’.
Even cooler (is that a word) is the chance to combine ‘name’ ‘keitai’ and the expertise gathered over a full three months ‘in-country’ – along with a touch of generosity from the friendly folk at Tokyo Explorer for entertaining a rank beginner in the writing stakes such as myself.
Admittedly the ink in my passport is barely dry and I have yet to leave the capital city of Tokyo, but it is in my naivety that I plan to make myself useful at TE by penning some first timer insights into just what makes this land, and its people tick.
Lafcadio Hearn and Isabella Bird may well have been down this road before I, and are likely a tad more famous – for now! (cue: Dr. Evil type laughter at this point)
Let me know what you think of my keitai snaps and accompanying comments via the e-mail address of my boss – the TE Ed, Mark Buckton (he won’t give me my own e-mail address just yet!) – I promise to read everything he smacks down in front of me – or smacks me with!
