Tsukiji fish market

Tsukiji fish market - not far from Ginza, is the ever beating heart of the Japanese seafood industry and should be at or near the top of any visitor’s ‘to see’ list when in Tokyo. Yes, there are now restrictions on areas you can enter - the auction site limited to a viewing area - but no, the site won’t be moving anytime soon to a less convenient place - apparently the new site in Toyoosu has issues with poisons in the ground. Oh, the pic - one of the chaps making his way through the market on May 29th! Perhaps one of those I sampled at breakfast! Access via Tsukiji Station on the Hibiya Line but get there well before 7am to see the best of the action.
